Help me set / stack my Burn Unit EQ and Small Fry

Postby metz420 » Tue Oct 20, 2009 9:14 am

I love both of these pedals and would love some advice on how to set / stack them. I really like the Small Fry set like this:

Toggle: right
Volume: noon
Tone: 2 o'clock
Burn: 9 o'clock
Dynamics: 2-4 o'clock

Internal trims:
Note shape: 9-10 o'clock
Bass: noon
Mid: 11 o'clock
Presence: 2 o'clock

This gives me a fat, but nice and clear tone that isn't the slight bit fizzy. I want to push this with the Burn Unit EQ for a low/medium gain on one channel and medium/high on the other. How would you recommend I set the Burn Unit EQ to achieve this without messing up the tone of the Small Fry? Where should I place it in the chain (Before Small Fry or after)?

I know the obvious answer is to try it out and let my ears be the judge. I intend to but would love a starting point if anyone's already tried it.

My signature has my gear but I'm playing through a strat with Fralin Blues Specials and a Blues Deluxe Reissue.

Thanks!
