My Tone Press makes strange noises

So I bought a TP and it makes my amp, and every other amp i've tried it on, sound like crickets. Does anyone know what is wrong?

You might want to check your cables and power supply/battery. What settings are you using on the TP?

my settings are pretty cranked right now, but i really can't get rid of the crickets no matter where it is set. i'll try switching my power supply.

Most pedals can be pretty noisy if you're using an non-isolated power supply (1Spot, Godlyke, etc.). Try the pedal with a battery or something like a T-Rex FT JR or VL PP2+ and let us know how it works. By maxing out all the settings, you're also adding gain via the volume knob, which contributes to the noise you're hearing.
