Barber pedals are just louder and more present

Postby Sonnyblu42 » Wed Oct 20, 2010 10:36 am

Is this because of the recovery stage? To me... they are like the difference between a Tube and a SS guitar amp.
Barber pedals just have this extra volume and presence. Does anyone else notice this to the degree that I do?

This is why I like having only Barber's as my gain boxes, so they all match up sonically.

They definitely match each other. And stack well together also. That helps keeping ones tone consistant. I play in a 3 piece and I appreciate that. No surprises when go from clean to edge, to crunch and beyond. Sounds like Buzz lightyear, To crunch and beyond!
