Launch Pad for Christmas!

Just got this today. I can't wait to try it out with my 66 Deluxe Reverb. I am going to use it to run both channels together.

I wish I had thought of this...........

So I am using this to run both channels of my 66 Deluxe. So far so good. Questions---

--The first thing I notice is that the amp is louder when I turn the pedal on and sum the channels. I guess I should have expected that. Should I back the volume down to match the volume when the pedal is not engaged?
--I am getting the impression that I can get more clean headroom out of the amp because I am summing the channels. Is that correct?
--The tech sheet says to run the two inputs at a high volume to minimize noise. I have them at about 2:00, but at
that level I am running the volume at about 9:00 or less. Any suggestions on levels? Is this a good gain structure?

HELP and thanks!!
