dave I have noted your suggestions for " black magic tone" in your manual ( small fry) but where would you suggest the NOTE SHAPE is tuned to ( o' clock) for Santana tones of yesteryear?

Between 1/4 to 1/2 up, if the pickup/guitar you are using is especially tight sounding, then you may need to set it a little higher, but you are losing gain as you turn the note-shape control up.
