Here is what I mean when I was thinking about using the Barb E.Q. as an overdrive.

I see were you are going with that. If you notice the volume knob is almost dimed. The overdrive is probably just coming from slamming a hotter signal into the amp. That works, however you have to take a significant volume boost along with the overdrive. I set up all my overdrives at unity gain so I can switch between them with no volume boost except for my LTD which I use for a lead boost.

Absolutely the overdrive is coming from slamming V1.

However, like I mentioned in my first post, I run both amps on the edge of breakup.
Hence they are very sensitive to the OUTPUT lvl of any effect.

In fact, that is how I run the LTD. I keep the volume around 2:00 and the gain around 10:00-11:00.
Adding that little bit of gain gives the overdrive a little CHARACTER.
That is all I was looking for... overdrive with a different character.

If you're just looking for a different character, maybe try the Trifecta. Perhaps fuzz will do it for you...

I am heading to a store this weekend and hopefully I can try out the Trifecta and the Barb E.Q. - I doubt this shop will have the Custom Super Sport though.

Thanks for the suggestions.
