Custom Cool on the way!!

Postby plan-x » Mon Jul 19, 2010 2:52 pm

Just ordered a Custom Cool. Just had to give a shout out. I can't wait. :D
I'm sure it will be a great pedal. This pedal has hardly any reviews, clips, nothing. Considering it's probably one of the best low gainers ever. With The LTDSR having such a great reputation. The CC has more bells and whistles to hone in ones sound or just goof around with when bored.

Custom Cool landed! Spent a couple of hours trying out the different combinations of sound and all I got to say is WOW! This thing is versatile in the realm of low gain. There are no bad sounds in it. One thing I can say is with a few tweaks and an overdriven amp on the verge of break up, it actually can get in to some gain for some sustaining soloing. This unit will take some time. More to come. :D

The Custom Cool is extremely flexible, and likely the widest range of textures we have in a single pedal, have fun!! :)

Hmm, the Custom Cool would be seem to be my next Barber. I need something low gain to go with my B Custom SS (which absolutely rocks, btw). I'm after the "snarl" that the B Custom SS can get (while still be somewhat polite about it, if need be), but in a low gain format. Is there a little bit of the the SS in the Custom Cool, perhaps?

Yeah, a little SS feel in the snarl mode. Basically it's an LTDsr with bells and whistles. It's been 24 hours since I've had this pedal. Fortunately I've probably gotten in a few hours now, been off today, and it's capable of pushing or scooping lows, mids, and highs. It can get very amp like tones as well as pedal type tones. There is enough stuff on top of the pedal to cop a different feel from song to song if I'm up for the challenge and my band is patient. Maybe I will try that tonight at practice. I was surprised to find the tone knob does the same thing as the LTDsr, boosting and cutting at the same time with rotation. The pull pot EQ is really cool. I suspect it can lift one up out of the mix. Yet is somewhat subtle. Most of the tweaks are that way and that's a good thing,

Hi there. I have heard a lot about Custom Cool pedal. I think it is a good pedal. It is versatile in the realm of low gain. There are no bad sounds in it. With The LTDSR having such a great reputation. The Custom Cool has more bells and whistles to hone in ones sound or just goof around with when bored. So I would like to buy it as early as possible.

That may be the only demo on that pedal out there. The Custom cool booted my LTDSR w/mod PC off my board. I like the aggresive tone as compared to the other pedals at the end of the video. Finally, someone else who's got this pedal. Congrats on a great pedal aquisition. It's a fun pedal to tweak.
