Lead Time on custom orders?

Postby RayBarbeeMusic » Fri Jan 07, 2011 9:01 pm

Those who have done custom orders, Dual Discretes etc, was wondering what lead time you experienced between order placement and receipt? Can't find anything on the site that really specifies what to expect.

Thanks!

It depends on how "custom" the order was, special paint takes longer, special layouts take time.

Unpainted powder coat box, one knob external instead of on interior trim (3 knob standard pedal in a 4 knob box), and a Dual Discrete on same order.

Any rough estimate?

Thanks!

That actually sounds kinda' familiar ;) . You can call in and check the status. Custom colors take up to 12 extra weeks (maybe more) depending on how much the customer paid for a "rush job". I think yours will be done in about a week or two...so was that about 5 weeks for a custom POWDER COAT color?

It was the Trifecta color I think, and I chose that because you guys had a run of boxes about to be done in that color anyway iirc, in order to save some time. Wasn't really as concerned about the specific color as I was that it had any color on it. Think the order was beginning Dec.

Wasn't really sure how long the wait would be but 1-2 more weeks would get it here EoM, I'll be anxiously awaiting! Been waiting to re-do my pedal board for those to get here, its a bit of a mess at the moment

Didn't want to be a pest and call to say "are we there yet!?" over and over so figured a post here would be the easiest way to get an idea on ETA.

Thanks!

Ronni called you about your order, make sure you get back to him, he has info about your pedal.

OH and its Pedals not pedal, there is a Dual Discrete on the same order as the unique DDSS. The other guitarist about to join my band has a "boutique" pedal board, I'm anxious to show him what boutique really means with real tone and sans the price/hype 8-)
