I use this position on my pedal board to boost my main low-gain drive (Custom Cool) for leads and some higher mid-heavy rhythm tones. I set the SS for the 808 Killer setting which I've found on another forum is quite popular with players. I went from the JRC4558 to the TL702 and then finally settled on the JRC4559 op-amp. I have the Note Shape at 9:00, Presence at 3:00 (higher than suggested setting) Bass at 9:00 , Harmonics at 8:00 and Mids at 2:30ish. Thick but more articulate and clearer than the Maxon it replaced.

I've since gone back and made for adjustments after my band's rehearsal.

The internal controls are now Note Shape at 7:00 (OFF), Presence at 1:00 (like suggested in manual!), Bass at 9:30 (a little above the 9:00 setting), Harmonics still at 8:00 and Mids on FULL (5:00).
This gives a massive mid-hump push into the Custom Cool to really cut through for lead breaks.

I was getting some feedback with my Ric 330 into my Deluxe Reverb with the CC and DDSS on (as boost) at the same time. I think dialing down the Presence will help this. I seemed to hear less noise at home when I made the adjustments.

just got my B-Custom Super Sport today and really like it....

internal settings (note shape - all the way down / harmonics - all the way down / bass - stock setting / mids - all the way down / presence - stock setting) it sounds close to my unlimited that way but a bit bigger and thicker.

I thought it was interesting though that all the settings in the manual didn't mention the note shape or the mid control... seems like these were from the original super sport and haven't been updated

It's possible, manual updates are on the way, along with nice additions to the pedal line.

found a new favourite....

thick and syrupy: (note shape - half way up / harmonics - all the way up / bass - all the way up / mids - all the way down / presence - almost all the way up) played with a neck single coil...... hmmmmmmmmm delicious....

this thing just won a drive shoot out against the small fry and the unlimited (I guess it's cause it's new) but I'm having a ball.....
