LTD, LTD SR, Dual Discrete Questions

Postby RayBarbeeMusic » Sun Jul 10, 2011 6:39 pm

Can someone go over the difference in sound betweent he LTD and LTD SR for me? Is it just less mid bump, or something else?

Also, in a Dual you get a mid control, so does that essentially mean you can go from LTD V2 to LTD SR depending on where that mid control is set?

Thanks!

The LTD SR sounds "flat" to most people's ears. The LTD has a fattening effect. The mid control will not cover all the differences between the two versions of LTD.

Yeah, it wont totally get you to LTD SR - but it gets you close enough. I went from a LTD SR (still my favorite OD pedal) to Half Gainer and never looked back. Having two channels was more important to me than the slight difference in tone.
