B-Buff install on a Tone Press

I'm experiencing some high end loss from my pedal board and wanted a buffer near the beginning of the chain. I have chosen to install a B-Buff in my Tone Press which I currently use for a sustainer. It sits near the beginning of the chain and it's off most of the time. I think the bypass option is the way to go. In order to do that where would the blue and white wires be connected to? Between the jack and switch on both sides? The jumper?

Remove the jumper and install to the footswitch terminals. The left side is the input, and the right side it output. Try not to overheat the switch, 700 degree iron, keep the tip super clean with this:

Or a sponge if you don't have the good stuff.

Awesome! Thanks David. No sweat. And if by some reason I overheat the 3PDT, I have a spare. The trim pot came cranked all the way clockwise, is that nominal or full attenuation?

That pedal looks a little older, so the solder is "leaded". Turn the trim full counter clockwise to start, you will never match the output of the full clockwise B-Buff with the T Press output.

Yeah, I didn't want to cook my board. What's the significance of "Leaded" solder?

Ummm, it has lead in it?

It's a good idea to use the proper matching solder, lead should not be used on a RoHS tip. I'm guessing you have a leaded setup and leaded solder. We don't use lead anymore for obvious reasons, but most hobbyist in the USA still use it. Just wash your hands before you start shoving Doritos in your face! :D
