BBuff in a Volume Pedal

So I am seeing a lot of chatter on other sites about modding an Ernie Ball Jr Volume Pedal. Will the BBuff overcome the dreaded "tone suck" of the EB? And if so, how would you mount it? Thanks!

So would I get a reply if I called it a B-Buff? :D

Tell us more about the volume pedal, I've never used the EB so I would need to know about the circuit to make an honest comment.

This is a passive pedal so it is basically just like having an extra volume pot in your guitar. I am told there are two problems...first the extra resistance adds load to your signal, and second is the input and tuner are wired in parallel and therefore are sharing impedance.

I've scanned in a schematic, but am having trouble posting a PDF...anyone have a suggestion?

So would a B-Buff before the tuner out overcome the signal loss? Obviously the volume pedal would have to be modded to accept power for the buffer. Thoughts?

Email the schematic and I'll get a better idea.

Thanks for the quick response. I agree there should be room to insert the B-Buff before the split to the tuner out. I look forward to giving you an update once I've completed the mod.
