would barber ever make a delay or reverb pedal??

This would be a nice idea to see some barber delays and reverb pedals. Could this ever happen?

I would love to see Dave come out with a delay pedal.

I dunno, the delay-pedal market seems to be nearly saturated (at least, it should be saturated by now) with all the nice offerings from aNaLoG.MaN, MXR, Malekko, etc., analog delays--not to mention your Line6 and Keeley-modified Boss digital delays. All very good.

A Barber reverb pedal might be a different story--there's a few really high-quality ones out there (Fuchs, SolidGold, T-Rex) but they're all rather pricey. If David could work his player-friendly-pricing into yet another quality pedal design, he might just have something there. But then again, last time I spoke to David, he was recalling of how the analog/BBD delay chip market is absolutely crazy right now with all sorts of agressive undercutting tactics and whatnot. So I guess we'll have to wait and see how that plays out...

I'm not currently working on either a delay or reverb, but delay would be more likely if I decided to produce time based effects. I'm not passionate about the sound of reverb that's not a secret. Delay is fun when it sounds right, I don't really go nutty for tap tempos and multi-programs as much as a cool texture that blends well with the dry guitar sound and music it is accompanying....maybe someday. The project I am working on right now is a Barber Electronics shop that is open daily for the public to visit, I want to be able to offer the services I cut my teeth on, guitar work and amp work. Customizing, repairing and modifying guitars and amps, that sounds FUN! I'll probably build some custom amps for "walk in" pickup too! ...anybody want to visit the snack capital of the USA? :D

Uh oh! Have we just discovered the true identity of the elusive Gearmanndude of YouTube fame? (That dude hates reverb with a passion!) But seriously, I too like my reverb and delay in extreme moderation--and only of the utmost quality.

The bench fee should be fairly non-shocking. While the snacks are not free you can walk to the UTZ chip factory from the shop and possibly get a tour replete with "hot chips off the conveyor"! nom nom nom nom YOMP!
