Tone Pumps Going Away Forever??

Postby fullriotgear » Thu Mar 18, 2010 1:23 pm

I have the latest TP & love it. Wish it had a bit more carry-through of orig gtr tone, esp in the low-low mids, but love the overall sound & character.

Is it going away? If so, what new Barber pedal is most like it, and what extra features does it have that the TP doesn't?

Always willing to upgrade if it's right!! :)

Blessings!!

The Tone Pump is being retired. We don't have a specific pedal to "replace" it, but we feel 12 years is a pretty good run for a pedal.
PRS SE One, PRS SE EG, PRS McCarty rosewood neck, Anderson Hollow T, Anderson Hollow Classic, Hamer Artist, Fender Strats and Teles, All Barber Pedals, Barber Echelon, Barber Energy cab.

Thanks David. ABSOLUTELY! So now it's value (for me anyway) only increases! I've tried so many ODs & at one point, this is the only one I felt was worth keeping - for a while it was just this: Guitar(s) >> TP >> Mod effect >> Amp.

Would it be possible at all for any of you to mod my TP a bit for tone balance? I'm most decidedly un-handy with solder.

Thanks again,

John
