More Tone Press Questions for Dave, others

Postby DreamTheaterRules » Thu Aug 12, 2010 10:31 am

I have never messed with my Tone Press because I like it just like it came from the factory. However, I now need a "squisher" for a couple songs I have to do for church. What would be a nice recommended setting for the internal control, to turn this into more of a squisher? I'll probably set it right back to stock as soon as it's done, but would like to be able to go back and forth since this little gig (at church) will be recurring.

Can the TP "POP" like the squishers? Or at least get me close?

Blend all the way up, and sustain as high as your pickups can stand before they go into buzz central . :D

LOL, all my playing is Buzz Central! :D

I thought there was an internal trim knob that does something of this nature though.

The brown internal trim will knock off treble, but will not add compression or change thew compression/dry mix....if you are looking for a darker squish, then turn the internal color control all the way down. Do not move the bias control in the middle of the PCB.
