If you don't use the higher gain settings of your DD you could drop a resistor across the outside legs of the drive pot, maybe something like a 220K or even a 100K. You could also use your Launch-Pad to as an active pad BEFORE the DD, as much as I like the LP as a amp cooker, and active pad is a much under-appreciated device to adjust gain staging. You could set the sensitivity to full counter clockwise, then adjust the + volume down about 3-5 db, this would still act as a buffer when the DD is off. What pickups are you using? If the pickups are hot, an active pad might just do the trick, but if you have low output pickups you might hear some noise from the amp.
