Trifecta

Postby ringmod » Fri Mar 23, 2012 12:06 pm

Picked up a Trifecta a couple days ago from Guitar Emporium here in Louisville, KY. Man, I am blown away by this pedal. I like Big Muff pedals and I knew the Trifecta would be better than any EH product. I was surprised at the versatility, it sounds wonderful with my Les Paul and Tele. I can roll the sludge all the way off and pull the push/pull tone pot out and cut through the mix just fine. Now all we need is a three-knob analog-voiced digital delay from Barber ;)

Hmmm, you got some nice lead tones on that vid. Do you remember the settings?

Jeez, you got some very rippin tones from the Trifecta, that is the type sounds I go for too, with the sludge control turned back a bit. All the bends and vibrato sounds great with the added sustain. I think I can hear the limiter kickin in on the camera at the beginning, what mic or camera is that?...loud?

Well, that explains the limiter! :D Do you always use an iPhone?

Not always. For a while I used the Kodak Zi8, then the Zoom Q3HD. I am currently awaiting the release of the Blue Microphone's Mikey Digital. It's a mic that attaches directly to the iPhone.

Does that get around the "always on" low cut filter the iPhone/iPad has? I'm impressed they sound that good, are you playing loud?
