Realistically, there's better than a 50/50 chance that Barber will go with standard Black. Some sort of white or blonde or pearl though... hasn't been done and could look sharp.

You are right, but black would be boring. But I guess it doesn't matter really. The OCD (bland) and the AM PoT (purple, horrible font) are both very ugly but are still on my board.
I am not going to worry about it. The graphic design on Barber stuff has been getting steadily better and better over the years.

No trim pots on the Gain Changer, we were satisfying trends with this unit, so the "we hate trim pots" crowd won on this one. I'll let you in a secret, I'll be doing at least one custom run of Gain-Changers in a full size box with trims, battery compartment and an adjustable mid knob for old curmudgeons like me who want all the tweaks. I'm going with the same silver vein I used on the 1/2 Gainer for that since it is so closely connected, it's pretty much a single channel 1/2 G with a gain switch. Maybe call it the Gain-Changer full format, or something like that. :D

Color for the compact Gain-Changer is undecided, but I do really like boring. We had cream with brown knobs on the Gainster, that could be fun again (vintage lookin even)...still very undecided, I am waiting for Bronson, he is the artist that has been slowly making our pedals look better. I hope he gets it in gear, people are waiting! :D

The tone knob adds treble and cuts bass as you turn it up, and cuts highs and increases bass as you turn it down, just like the LTD series.

Ah man, now I'm really conflicted. Do I get a gain changer in Nov? Or wait and get a GC+ at some point in the unspecified future?

Seriously. Hey David, when you say full size box... You mean LTD size or 1/2G size? For curmudgeons like you maybe... A GC+ would actually make me a very anti-curmudgeon-like person.

Thanks for the reply Dave. I can see your point with going understated. I think the color combo on the Gainster is OK but the old style knobs are very cool. Perhaps some improved graphics and font choices could make it all work well together. The Half Gainer is a good example of unique but not flashy or obnoxious.
My vote is for Ocean Turquoise.

TV/Pale Yellow. With black block lettering. It would still be understated, but add a small splash of color.

The full-format version will be the same size as the outgoing LTD 3.7"x4.7", I may only make 150...I mean, how many old-timers like me can be left in the world? :D

Same knob and switch layout as the small Fry/Dirty Bomb.
