Dirty Bomb and current draw

Postby Dr. Hiwatt » Wed Aug 26, 2009 9:18 am

Hey David!

Well, I took you advice and ordered a Bomb!! Wow!! Very nice!
I'm happy to say that it does produce a tone that is very close to an original Marshall Guv'nor; and for me, that it is the first time I can say that about any other distortion pedal!

Of course, the Bomb, like all Barber pedals, is built 1,000x better and will outlive me. Also this has a greater range of gain (more than I ever need) and the toggle switch is very useful and will help with different guitars and amps. Nice one, as always! Very musical, none of that harsh ear-fatigue inducing digital garbage so prevalent in most things today.

Can you tell me what the current draw is on the Dirty Bomb and the Small Fry?

Thanks!

Well,

Okay, I found on the product description of the Small Fry that it draws 12mA, but still am curious about the Dirty Bomb, just to play safe.

I would imagine it's about the same, as other drive pedals like the Direct Drive draw in that territory.
