DD LG Vs. DD w/Board Mod

Postby Dr. Hiwatt » Sun Sep 13, 2009 11:03 am

Hello!

I like my Direct Drive LG very much. Can the new one with the Board Mod duplicate it's tone, or do I need to stick with the LG version if I want to get another one for another pedalboard??

Thanks!

Which "new one" are you referring to? The New direct drive, or a newer version of the LG?

Okay!

I have a Direct Drive LG (with the green LED), and was interested in knowing if the "Direct Drive Mod PCB" could duplicate the DDLG's tone and gain structure. 'Sorry for the confusion!

Dear David:

I guess that the one I'm referring to (Direct Drive Mod PCB) is a Custom Shop?? I don't see it listed under your "Products" or "Custom Shop" links, but Pedal Geek for one has it on their website. Thanks again!

The DD MOD PCB cannot duplicate the DD LG, same ball park, different gain structure, different texture.

Dear David:

Thanks for the info! In that case, I will order a second DD LG for my other pedalboard. For my ears and rig it has the sweetest Low Gain tone I've heard in any pedal, tho' I'm sure others would disagree - which is why you make several versions I'm sure! :)

And the DD w/Mod is on the site under the little B-custom logo.

G&L Legacy Special, PRS SE soapbar II, beefed up PV Classic50 4X10, Barber pedals, Budda Wah , Line6 green/blue F/X.
Then a bunch of studio stuff.
