Hi Folks,
I just pieced a 4-minute demo videotape for my band. So much of my tone is defined by David's gizmos that I thought it might be interesting to post this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFa4MZuF ... rofilepage
My ES-335 (with Barden pickups) is at various points going through an LTD-SR w/mod board, DDLG and DD w/mod board. All of the ODs are set for boost with volumes above unity gain. The amp cooker is on all the time with a roughly 2db boost. The amp is a 10-watt, mid-60s Guild Thunder One with a Ragin' Cajun speaker. Amp volume is between 9-10:00 which is the edge of breakup with the amp cooker goosing the front end. The amp is miked with a Sennheiser e-906 ("normal" toggle switch position) and is going through the PA with the EQ flat.
The Guild is a fairly mid-heavy little amp. I'm thinking about trying an EQ pedal to notch out a bit of the 1.6k range to clarify the overall tone a bit. My struggle for great tones is apparently going to be a lifelong process. Sigh! I'd certainly be interested in any and all feedback. Thanks!
