an update to my original post
i took your advice regarding a swap of cable and everthing seemed to be working OK.....but now it's back and much worse than before
a few weeks ago a new neighbour moved in upstairs from me, she has some sort of special intercom for the hard of hearing at her front door
through my amp i can hear ALL her household conversations with visitors as clear as day... if the amp is loud enough i can still hear her with the BU in the OFF position!
as she is a new neighbour i would consider it too early to approach her over this matter....i can't very well ask her to switch her lifeline to the world off so i can play me bloody guitar, can i?
what to do dave ,whaddya think is going on?
john
That could be "riding in" from many areas in your chain.
Does it go away when you turn down your guitar's volume?, change to another input cable?
If you have a phone, you can call me, instead of typing back and forth...this is a very slow way to figure this out.
changing cables does not help..it goes away when i turn down GTR volume
