Silver LTD

Postby J.LaGrassa » Fri May 29, 2009 9:47 pm

Just picked up a used Silver LTD and have always liked this version and missed it quite a bit so when i seen one for sale I jumped on it, plugged it in and dialed in some sweet low gain tones but one thing I forgot about is how subtle the tone control is especially after using the LTD V2.
At first I thought it wasnt working but after tweaking away I could hear the changes and didnt take me long to get use to it, all the LTD versions are awesome but there is something that just gels for me with the Silver!

I agree John. I use my Silver LTD with a Tone Press for about 60% of my gain needs into my AC-30.

I'm getting ready to build one. I'm making some of the component values more in line with the original LTD. Curious to see how it will turn out.

Thanks Dave, I may add the mid pot and good to know I can alter the tone pot range but stock this is still a killer pedal!

Added the 10k Mid pot today per Daves schematic and it worked out great, even thought the Silver LTD is not that mid heavey it was nice to still take it down a bit more so far I am likeing the mod!

Thanks again for the Schematic Dave!

My Silver just arrived! Opened up the back and was looking at the presence pot. it was set a few degrees west of dead tap center. Where was the pot when originally shipped?
